Abstract Rainbow Gradient Waves Background

The Tahlequah area community is invited to a Two Spirit Symposium, Indian Taco meal, and Stomp dance on Saturday, June 15, 2024.


The Symposium will be held in the Tahlequah Public Library with breakfast snacks at 8:30am and presentations from 9:00am-3:00pm. There will be ample time for discussions and breaks. Topics include “Two Spirit People in traditional Cherokee culture”, a “political update panel discussion”, “tools to deal with bullying and harassment”, and “domestic violence in the LGBTQ community”.


We will share a Indian Taco meal at 5:00pm in the Tahlequah Methodist Church activities building. AGALISIGA "Chuj" Mackey will be performing during the meal.


the stomp dance, hosted by the Squirrel Ridge Ceremonial Ground, will begin at 6:00pm and end at 10:00pm. Cherokee National Treasure Storyteller Robert Lewis will perform during a break in the dance.


Please be aware that there will be a police presence at both the Two Spirit Symposium and the Stomp Dance.
